The Box at Hackney Walk is becoming one of my favourite destinations, thanks to the very excellent sample sales it hosts. Last night I attended the press preview of the current Womenswear Sample Sale, which features Peter Jensen, Être Cécile, Le Kilt and Belize.
Very good bargains at this sale, and an abundance of stock to choose from. With prices starting from a tenner, and card sale available, not just cash, it’s quite easy to end up with an armful of lovely clobber and still spend less than you would on the high street.

There’s a discretionary £1 donation on entry to The BOX that will be donated to the Stitch Academy charity. The money raised will act as a bursary each year to pay for students to get places on fashion courses within prestigious universities. Anything that helps talented working-class students to access study is money well worth spending, I think.
I was very restrained last night, managing to resist a gorgeous pair of sky blue clogs for only £20 (see them in the first picture), but I did treat myself to a long-sleeved Peter Jensen polo shirt for £35, a super-practical bag (Le SportSac x Peter Jensen) for £20 and a pair of tracksuit bottoms from Être Cécile for £15.
