MORE INFO …
Inexcusable of me not to have put this post up earlier, given what an excellent opportunity to #BeMoreFrench this festival offers every year. The reason I didn’t get this up in good time is that this year’s programme of films is so bloody good, that I became overwhelmed with choice and possibilities and ended up booking … nothing. Posting … nothing. It all got very Samuel Beckett round these parts (and not in a good way).
I was very interested in watching Depardieu take on the role of Maigret (Wednesday 9th and Saturday 12th November).
And I was considering bunking off my weekly French lesson (on Tuesday 8th November) to go and see Charlotte Gainsbourg on the screen and on the stage. She’s doing a Q and A on Jane by Charlotte, which she directed, and then introducing The Passengers of the Night in which she stars.
But these weren’t the only three films I wanted to see! Counting quickly, I think there are 29 films in this programme, and I kind of want to see … all of them. This is literally what it means to be spoilt for choice.
