Natura Siberica Tiger’s Paw Reviving Face Cleansing Scrub
Nothing gets me more excited than a good bit of packaging, so when I encountered the Natura Siberica For Men Only range, it was all I could do not to swoon. Determined to limit myself to just one of their fabulous Siberian wildlife themed products, I chose Natura Siberica Tiger’s Paw Reviving Face Cleansing Scrub.
Tigers are my weakness …
I have spent hours gazing upon their loveliness, and the smell of the tiger is possibly my favourite smell in the world. I had a very intense relationship with a tiger at London Zoo for many years and I miss him still. He would always show me his shaggy, creamy tummy every time I visited, and I used to dream of him often. I hope he dreamt of me.
The nicely delineated tiger’s head that adorns the box and tube of Tiger’s Paw is #toocute -whilst still being suitably tough and mannish, naturellement. I will be able to dispose of the tube once I’ve used all the product, but the box will live on my desk forever more, taking on a second life as a pencil box. For Men Only – an incitement, not an interdiction
I’ve never been one to assume that rules apply to me, in fact I often think that they were made up just to give me the pleasure of breaking them.
One of the reasons I like to buy products aimed at men is because they are often easier to use. Most men are too lazy/sensible to jump through hoops in the pursuit of beauty – check washing instructions on jumpers if you don’t believe me. Often you can have exactly the same fibres and thread in a garment, but the one sold to men will tell them to wash it at 40° (and sometimes tumble dry it too), whilst the label in the women’s equivalent will instruct you to dry clean or hand wash.

Tiger’s Paw seemed the best entry point for exploring this new-to-me brand, as:
- even if it did turn out to be a little too manly for my delicate female face, it would be absolutely fine for arms and legs
- it is a ‘Reviving Face Cleansing Scrub’. I translate that as ‘no need to be arsed removing your slap with a micellar water, and following up with a cleanser before exfoliating with yet another product – just make your face wet and this product will clean and polish it’.
What’s In The Box?
Natura Siberica’s USP is their use of herbs that flourish in the tough climate of Siberia: this product is packed with intriguing ingredients. The exfoliating element appears to be Pinus Sibirica Shell Powder, which (if I have googled accurately) appears to be a fancy way of describing pine nut kernals. Taurine, Tiger Grass, Wild Hop and Rhodiola Rosea are highlighted on the front of the box, and I have photographed the list so you can check those that particularly intrigue you for yourself.

Since becoming more aware of contact allergy, I no longer see a lengthy ingredient list as a cornucopia of delight, but more a reason to tread carefully, using the product ONLY if I really, REALLY like it, and even then in moderation.

Great Name? 5/5 Who doesn’t love tigers? Who doesn’t love paws? Who doesn’t love a tiger’s paw? FABULOUS name.
Effective? 5/5 The box suggests you (the MAN) use it two or three times a week for best results. I use it as and when the mood takes me, on my face and on my body. As I can’t abide scratchiness in an exfoliant, Tiger’s Paw is gentle enough to suit me, and has no after effects of flakiness or redness.
Packaging? 5/5 Yes, yes, yaaas! I’m determined to get my hands on more of this range as soon as I can, because I dread them discontinuing this packaging. I absolutely want some stuff featuring wolves and bears, and who doesn’t want an eye cream featuring an eagle, ffs? The packaging and theme of the line makes it an excellent choice for gifts.
Scent? 5/5 It smells herbal, which gives a nice wake-you-up feeling, but has a honey-like warmth and richness underneath. The ingredient list contains caramel and menthol and , which possibly explains that warmth and freshness effect. Particularly good to use in the morning, if like me, you absolutely hate leaving your cosy bed and need something to help you face the day.
Price? 5/5 Priced at £10.99 for 150 ml, I think Tiger’s Paw is a bargain. A little goes a long way (on my small, feminine face, lol) and at this price I don’t hesitate to use it as a body scrub when the mood takes me. It’s inexpensive enough to allow me to be generous so I graciously allow the household males to use it too. The Men’s Luxury Gift Set contains Fury of the Tiger shampoo, Wolf Power face cream and White Bear shower gel and is a true bargain at £19.99 .

Impulse shopping at South Kensington
I purchased my Tiger’s Paw at South Kensington’s Stickland Pharmacy. This is a little gem of a pharmacy absolutely bursting with interesting products and handily placed in the arcade at South Kensington tube station. For me, a visit to Stickland Pharmacy is an absolutely mandatory part of any trip to the V&A.
