“I’m A Good Girl I Am!” – So Take Me To The Flower Stall At Chanel Covent Garden

CHANEL flower cart orange tree copyQ: What’s dainty, beautiful, smells like heaven, and has been brilliantly conceived and executed?

A: The Flower Stall set up outside Chanel Covent Garden from Friday March 8th – Sunday March 10th, of course.

CHANEL at Covent Garden have created a lovely Mothers’ Day promotion with the flower stall installation, that very appropriately marks their newly permanent status as Covent Garden residents. The flower stall isn’t just beautiful to look at: CHANEL have brought a florist into the store who will create a hand-tied posy using the flowers that are used to create the CHANEL fragrances. There is also a calligrapher on hand to write your personalised message on  camellia embossed card with a choice of quotations from Madame Chanel. Her biographers claim that Chanel devoted as much care and thought to her pithy epigrams as to any other aspect of her empire, so they are almost certain to be a little more profound than ‘Love you, Mum’.CHANEL Flower cart landscape copy

Be aware though, that this service is only available with the same-day purchase of a 100ml Eau de Parfum of any CHANEL fragrance. Anyone would be quite delighted to receive 100ml of their favourite CHANEL perfume, or perhaps to discover a new favourite (CHANEL have fragrance experts in store to advise and help you discover the perfect scent), and the flowers and card as well make it a really memorable and exciting gift, so brilliant value for money. But 100ml of any CHANEL fragrance does commit the generous giver to a spend in the region of £90, which could be a bit of a stretch …

Is she in London this weekend? If so, visit the CHANEL flower stall (it’s a lovely thing to see, even yesterday in the cold and rain, people were stopping to marvel), have a browse around the store and then a cup of tea and a sit down at nearby Patisserie Valerie, or wander from Covent Garden into Soho and enjoy some quality time and good cake at Maison Bertaux or Bar Italia. Going on to check out the Madonnas in the National Gallery should round the day off nicely.

If your Mother likes CHANEL and enjoys a little pampering, why not take advantage of the services that CHANEL Covent Garden offer, and book her in for a make-up consultation? A very good value £25, fully redeemable against product, means that she can enjoy a relaxing, revamping time at the hands of CHANEL’s make-up artists and choose something gorgeous from the cosmetics range, or a smaller size scent to remind her all year long just what a good and loving child you are.

I can vouch for how enjoyable the make-up consultations are (and will, in a forthcoming post). And don’t forget the nail paint and polish option at £30, which I wrote about here, and the Belle of Brockley enjoyed recently. The nail bar downstairs has been expanded and refitted since the pop-up became permanent. Small and beautiful, CHANEL Covent Garden is a wonderful boost to the Beauty Landscape of London and I hope to celebrate their take on Mothers’ Day for years to come.

Thanks to CHANEL for allowing the use of these photographs.
